So my 30 day challenged had a wee little break. My mom came from Oregon Friday morning and then we booked it up to Whidbey to go spend the day with my brother before he took off back home. The rest of the weekend was full of time with my mom....
On a side note, we had our little Christmas time with my mom and she got me a sewing machine! I am so thrilled! I have been wanting one for so long! now that I have a sewing machine, I am stuck where I should start! I guess I should start with my jean quilts.... I have been collecting them for many many years but never put a quilt together. : / Now is the time I suppose. :)

Day 4
Day 4 is a bit of a Challenge.
Day 04 - A picture of your favorite night.
I don't think I have a picture of my favorite night, let alone something to comes to mind as my favorite night. Yes me, picture crazy doesn't have a picture of my favorite night. Hmmm...
Off to look through some pictures.
That's a very difficult thing to do. Being married for almost 15 years and have 3 kiddos, there have been many favorite nights.
But nights I just love are night the sun reveals amazing color as it sets. I am always in AWE!

30 Day Challenge
Sometimes I like a challenge..... and so today I begin one. I got the idea from a friend and thought "hmmm, looks fun. I should do it too."
So here it is:
Day 01 - A picture of yourself with fifteen facts.
1.Child of God
2.Was married 2 weeks after high school graduation, almost 15 years ago!
3. Have 3 amazing boys
4. Very Random
5. Do NOT like confrontations
6. DO NOT like talking about myself, this is very difficult for me
7.Home school my children, which I feel like giving up almost every day
8. Haven't not worked outside of the home since my oldest was 4 months old. 11 years ago this month!
9. I am currently looking for a job, but only at nights so I can continue to be home with my kids
10. I am from Oregon
11. Would rather live some place warm more often, but in reality it IS beautiful here in the Spring and Summer
12. Love keeping my body healthy, but lack the drive more often then I should
13. I think about deleting my Facebook often
14. Have many "friends" but only a handful if that of really close girlfriends
15. I'd give anything (almost) to go on a vacation!
*This was very difficult.... lol and what amazes me is how I didn't even think to mention Coffee! HA HA HA

Roll With It
Picture is from Fat Girl Trapped in skinny Body (Ya, I know, this picture has nothing to do with my Blog post... but after finding this "roll" I COULD NOT resist! Looooks so yummy!)
I have learned that with my brother's "work" to roll with it.... Sometimes plans just don't come together like planned. That doesn't mean we aren't prying that it still happens. ;)
In Hebrews 11 Verse 40: "God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect"
Though this has nothing to do with my brother and possibly not being able to visit this weekend, I couldn't help but think of this verse. ... God's plan is always the desired, because as this verse states.... he has something BETTER for us! God's Promises are a treasure waiting to be discovered!

YA for uncles!
We don't get to see my brother very often.... Until recently we could go a couple years without seeing him. The last two years (2010 and now 2011) his "job" has brought him to our neck of the woods and we get to see him on the weekends!

Yoga Pose
Pose of the Month: Cow Face | Active.com
Last year I started this program called p90x... Awesome and intense program... I never was able to finish the entire 90 days. I should try again. (Life got in the way)
ANYWAYS..... I had never done yoga until doing the p90x program... And I have to say, I like it... very good for flexibility, which I lack since becoming older. I remember the days in dance practice stretching and stretching and stretching to be able to do the splits and just be more flexible. Since dance I have failed to continue being so diligent with stretching and my body can attest to it.
I was reading in a forum where they were talking about yoga and someone mentioned this Cow Face Pose... I had no clue so I googled it! UH Hello! I wanna do that! ha ha ha I should just bust out my p90x Yoga and do it! (not this Cow Face one, just Yoga)
I am not one for making New Years Resolutions, But on the first I did start eating VERY strict (minus 2 occasions) and I am loosing weight.... but I should add a workout program into this eating good bit! We are suppose to take care of our bodies. =)

Coffee
My Husband takes great pride in the fact he was the one to get me hooked on coffee....
I grew up around it but couldn't even stand the smell!
About 8 years ago my hubby had me try a mocha.... I was HOOKED! I mean how could I not be with all the sugar!
Of course I couldn't keep drinking sugar filled drinks....
He then got me switched over to the dark side..... as in black coffee.... well sorta black.... I do had half and half... mind you it doesn't take a lot of half and half.
So, heres to Friday nights and Coffee! (actually I haven't had any tonight, but it sounded good)

New Blog
I have wanted to do a blog for sometime now.... why? I am not sure... seems that I can't keep up reading the ones I like to read in the first place... how can I do my own? Well I am giving it a shot!
Choosing a blog name is not easy... some people have fun catchy names, some are family names. With our family I didn't want to use the name just because there are so many of us.
So I choose Beautiful in His Eyes... Mostly because it reflects how I want to be. Beautiful in God's Eyes.... is a title of a favorite book of mine by Elizabeth George. I really enjoy Elisabeth George's books. If you haven't heard of her you should check her books out.
Anyways, so that's how I came up with the name.
Though I want the blog to be posts of what my family and I are up to and random things I decide to write about... I strive to be Beautiful in HIS Eyes!
